"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8, NKJV
The history of Calvary Chapel North Bay takes us back to the middle of 1999. Daniel Fusco had been sensing the call into the pastoral ministry for some time but was resisting the call of God. He had been playing music professionally for a number of years but knew that God had a call on his life.
After surrendering his pursuit of a music career, Daniel was taken on staff at Calvary Chapel Marin, Novato, Ca. Daniel began as a pastoral intern and quickly became Pastor John Henry Corcoran's Assistant Pastor. Over the next two years, Daniel was mentored for the pastoral ministry. It was while Daniel was on staff at CC Marin that he met and served alongside Chuck Campbell. During these years, a special friendship was formed between Daniel and Chuck.
In the Spring of 2002, Daniel began sensing the Lord's leading to step out and plant a church. Daniel was ordained by Pastor John Henry Corcoran and was sent back to his home state, New Jersey, to plant what eventually became Calvary Chapel New Brunswick.
Two years into the work in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Jason Falzarano joined and soon became the Assistant Pastor of Calvary Chapel New Brunswick. Over the next two years, even as Daniel had been mentored by John Henry, so Jason was mentored by Daniel.
Daniel began to sense the Lord's call again; and began praying about stepping out in faith, again to pioneer another church. But where?
Daniel began to sense that the Lord's desire was to see a Calvary Chapel planted in the Mill Valley Area of Marin County. Jason Falzarano was installed as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel New Brunswick on October 1, 2006 and Daniel prepared to move back to the Bay Area. This brings us to the present day.
Calvary Chapel North Bay is set to begin holding worship services in the beginning months of 2007. Our history is going to begin to be written as the Lord sees fit. Won't you come and be a part of it?
