A Personal Note from Eldon Hasseler
God has recently moved my family and I from the Central Coast to the beautiful County of Marin. We are privileged to be part of this exciting new church. I will be serving in the Mens Ministry at Calvary Chapel North Bay with a vision of equipping the men of Marin experientially with down-to-earth teaching from God's Word. We will be studying the men of the Bible as our example and admonition at the Men's Breakfast on the last Saturday of the month.
My personal favorite individual from the Bible is Caleb because the Bible commends him for wholly following the Lord, and because of that faithfulness, Joshua gave him and his family the mountains of Hebron in the Promised Land as an inheritance. This was the most beautiful land in Israel, a region of mountains, ancient forests, springs and streams much like the mountains of Marin look today. This is a spiritual application for today for any man who will set himself apart from this world and follow the Words of Christ without compromise. He shall receive the land flowing with milk and honey (spiritual blessing from God). My heart for the men of Calvary Chapel is to first know Jesus and love Him Biblically, then to be the leaders, husbands, and fathers of their homes, and finally to prepare them for the work of the ministry and the fellowship of the saints as we enjoy each other's company in outings and events.
Your Brother In Christ,
Eldon Hasseler
Joshua 14:7-10 I (Caleb) was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart. 8Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the LORD my God. 9So Moses swore on that day, saying, 'Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children's forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.'
